April 6, 2016 - Kawartha Conservation continues its Flood Watch for the Kawartha Lakes, specifically the shoreline areas of Balsam, Cameron, Sturgeon and Pigeon Lakes. There continues to be high potential for flooding to occur along shorelines, in near shore areas, and in low-lying areas, as a large volume of water is passing through the Trent River system. High winds and waves can exacerbate the situation on the downwind side of a lake.

Gull River levels are high and unpredictable
April 11, 2016 - A Flood Watch remains in effect for the Kawartha Lakes, however many rivers and lakes in the area have stabilized. The Gull River system has been gaining since Friday and may be unpredictable over the next few days to a week as warmer weather melts the snowpack in the Haliburton area.
