Friends of the Lindsay Library donate $11,000 for special Library projects
February 14, 2017 - Friends of the Lindsay Library presented David Harvie, CEO and Chief Librarian of Kawartha Lakes Public Library with a cheque for $11,000 to be used for special projects at the Lindsay branch. All funds were raised during monthly book sales and will be used for author presentations, book club sets, children's and adult programming, signage and Maker Space items.

Kawartha Lakes unveils age-friendly business strategy
April 12, 2017 - On April 11, Council was presented with the age-friendly business strategy for Kawartha Lakes. The strategy has been developed over the last year by the Age-friendly Steering Committee with the support of the City's Economic Development division. The work was made possible by a grant from the Ontario Senior Secretariat to develop an age-friendly business strategy to increase the age-friendliness of our region.
