 The City of Kawartha Lakes is well-known for fabulous fishing and hunting. Our many lakes, rivers and streams provide excellent opportunities for anglers to try their luck. The warm water fishery consists of species such as Walleye, Small and Large Mouth Bass, Muskellunge, Yellow Perch, Bullhead, Sucker, and Carp. Northern Pike are also present. Our varied countryside, ranging from rugged to pastoral, is home to a wide variety of game. Hunt for deer, small game, and waterfowl, using one of our welcoming housekeeping resorts as a base. |
