Summer employment with the City of Kawartha Lakes can be great way to earn and learn.

To be considered for a Student position with the City of Kawartha Lakes, you must be:

  •  Minimum of age 16;
  • Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year (2016/2017)
  • Registered as a full time student with the intent to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year (2017/2018)

Some of the summer employment positions are made available due to grant funding.  Please help us to determine if you meet the grant eligibility requirements by indicating on your resume that you are Grant Eligible if you meet the following criteria:

  • Between the ages of 16-30;
  • Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year (2016/2017)
  • Registered as a full time student with the intent to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year (2017/2018)
  • Not attending full-time classes while carrying out the student position;
  • Not working another full-time summer job (30 hours or more per week).

Summer Activities Coordinator

Water Meter Reader Assistant** Water/Wastewater Technician (OIT)**

**The above noted positions require that the successful applicant have an Ontario Class G2 license for a minimum of 6 months, be 18 years of age (minimum) and can provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
