The City of Kawartha Lakes holds records that have become part of our
Archives collection, as these records make a natural transition from
active, to inactive and finally to Archival. Public records that are
part of our Archives collection, may be accessed by requesters. Please
contact the Records and Archives Facility at 324-9411 ext 1137. The
Archives and staff strive to become an integral part of the importance
of our local heritage and history, by aiding researchers to discover
the vast and diverse history of the City, and its communities.
The Records and Archives Facility, as well as the Archives collection
housed therein, is the responsibility of the Records Management unit.
The Archives is a collection of all predecessor Municipalities archival
records including, Assessment Rolls, By-laws, Minutes, Deeds, some
Birth/Death Registries, maps, plans, and other historical records and
artifacts previously owned by the Municipalities that comprise the City
of Kawartha Lakes. For more information regarding our Archives, please

Should you require information about published materials that are the
jurisdiction of the City's Library Department, please contact:
324-9411. The library has a vast selection of older books and other
published materials in their historical Library collection.
