The City of Kawartha Lakes led by its Mayor, Members of Council and Chief Administrative Officer guide the operations of eight City Departments.
Records and archives of the Citys predecessor Municipalities
are housed at the City of Kawartha Lakes Records and Archives Facility,
located at 31 Mary Street East, Lindsay, Ontario. This state-of-the-art
facility is environmentally controlled, and designed to ensure secure
access and safe storage of municipal records and archives. The City of
Kawartha Lakes has a rich resource of archive material and this
facility has been specially designed to protect and preserve these
archival resources for the enjoyment of future generations.
The records of the former municipalities are being sorted, and processed at this facility. In the future when a database of public records is available, the public will be able to access this information and visit us at our new facility.

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), legislates that the City of Kawartha Lakes is obligated to respond to MFIPPA requests as outlined in the Act. All MFIPPA requests to the City are processed through the Clerks Department. Please complete the attached form titled Request Access/Correction Request Form (PDF)
