Accessible Customer Service Standard for Companies Doing Business With the City
The City has posted this notice to assist Service Providers, Contractors and Vendors authorized to act or do business on behalf of/or with the City with the requirements of the Accessible Customer Service Standard, Ontario Regulation 429/07 (made under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005).
To ensure compliance refer to the following guidelines:
1) Review the accessible customer service training module provided by the Ministry of Community and Social Services at : http://www.mcss.gov.on.ca/mcss/serve-ability/splash.html
2) Review and understand the City of Kawartha Lakes Accessible Customer Service Policy #C168 HR037 (PDF) (Word).
3) Review the City’s “May I Help You Guide for Contractors”.
4) Complete, sign and submit page 7 of the “May I Help You Guide” (PDF) (Word) and submit the form to the Purchasing Division as confirmation of compliance to the Accessible Customer Service Standard, Ontario Regulation 429/07 (made under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005). Details of where to submit are on the form.
