Kawartha Conservation issues Flood Watch

June 23, 2017 - Kawartha Conservation has issued a Flood Watch from today through Sunday June 25. Over 40 mm of rain was recorded by precipitation monitoring stations throughout the watershed this morning. Additional 15 to 25 mm of rain is forecast by Environment Canada before the weather system leaves the region this evening.

History comes alive through theatre workshops

June 20, 2017 - Live History Theatre Company is coming to the Bobcaygeon and Lindsay branches of Kawartha Lakes Public Library this summer. Live History Theatre Company specializes in bringing local history to life through workshops which feature local stories and personalities. The workshops will teach both adults and children about their local history in a whole new light. The company uses site-specific theatre, a unique style of performance, using the space and atmosphere around them to create small, intimate theatre productions brimming with realism.
