6th Annual Toast to Tourism
May 12, 2010 - The 6th Annual “Toast to Tourism” will be held on Thursday June 10th, 5 pm to 9 pm at the Royal Resort on Balsam Lake, near Rosedale.
Join us on the lawn at this picturesque Resort to celebrate the launch of the busy tourism season in Kawartha Lakes. Enjoy a fun-filled evening of networking and connecting with tourism partners from across Kawartha Lakes. Participate in “Dock Talk” and learn about what your tourism partners are doing to attract visitors to Kawartha Lakes this coming season.
Delight in culinary samplings from local restaurants and caterers, as well as local wine and refreshments as you listen to the sounds of local entertainers, Bobby Watson and Brian McDonnell. New this year are short scenic boat rides on Balsam Lake throughout the evening. Invite your business partners and colleagues to come. Toast to Tourism is an annual event held to officially launch the summer season in Kawartha Lakes. In conjunction with Canada’s Tourism Week, June 7-13, we take this opportunity to showcase our successes in Tourism as we welcome visitors this upcoming season. With over 1.3 million visitors a year, and $67 million in spending, we are proud to boost our share of Ontario’s tourism revenue.
