Capture the Fall Colours in Kawartha Lakes

October 2, 2015 - Every fall Kawartha Lakes comes alive in an amazing blaze of Autumn colour.

Home to over 9,700 acres of natural woodland, Kawartha Lakes is truly a spectacular sight during the fall season. Because the municipality spans 3,000 square kilometres, four vibrant colour zones are present, allowing you to experience the vast autumn beauty throughout the region. 

“Kawartha Lakes offers some of the best spots to see spectacular fall colours,” explained Laurie McCarthy, Kawartha Lakes Tourism Development Officer.  “It’s a great time of year for tourists, families and friends to take in the beauty of our region while witnessing the remarkable change in seasons. I encourage you to take a trip to Kawartha Lakes this fall to experience and explore our autumn driving tours as well as the many attractions, events, shopping and culinary delights offered throughout the region. And while you’re here take a photo or a selfie with the fall colours, and share it with using #FallColours.”
