May 24, 2016 - The City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation & Culture Division is currently seeking responsible, energetic and reliable volunteers to assist at the 38th Annual Lindsay Milk Run. This 5k/10k event takes place on Sunday July 17, 2016 and starts and finishes at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.

Volunteers are required from approximately 6:00 am - 11:30 am to assist with a variety of duties including course marshalling, registration, water stations, food distribution, set up and tear down.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to get involved with this fun-filled community tradition. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable community service hours.

All volunteers will receive a certificate acknowledging their volunteer hour contributions, a Milk Run T-Shirt, refreshments, ice cream and a chance to be part of this successful community event.

To learn more about this opportunity contact Courtney Boyd, 2016 Lindsay Milk Run Race Director at 705-324-9411 extension 1306 or e-mail communitydevelopment@city.kawarthalakes.on.ca
