City of Kawartha Lakes opens Haliburton Social Services Office today

April 13, 2016 - The City of Kawartha Lakes announces the opening of its newly relocated Social Services Office in Haliburton.

The Centre is located at 49 Maple Avenue, Unit 8 in Haliburton and will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The office was formerly located in the County of Haliburton Administrative Offices located at 11 Newcastle St. Minden.

“Being in Haliburton Village provides a much more central location for clients across Haliburton County who rely on our services,” explains Social Services Manager Janine Mitchell.  “We are excited about the opportunity to provide our services from this new location.”

The Centre will provide the following programs: Ontario Works, Children’s Services and Housing Help Services.
