City receives grant from Community Futures Development Corporation for website upgrade
“Our online presence directly impacts our ability to attract the tourists, residents and investors we need to grow Kawartha Lakes. The site will have new functionality and a completely different interface which will make everyday tasks such as paying a bill or locating a service much easier for residents. Our new site will be built with the overall online experience as the top priority,” comments Cheri Davidson, Manager of Communications, Advertising and Marketing.
The City has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for website development. The project will commence this fall, with launch targeted for summer 2017. The website is an important component of the City’s Communications, Advertising and Marketing Strategy which is currently under development and will be completed by year end.
Andrew Wallen, General Manager, Kawartha Lakes CFDC comments, “We are pleased to support the City of Kawartha Lakes in their website development. It’s a direct link to our mandate of creating and improving employment and economic prosperity in the area.”
