City seeking Community Social Investment Fund applications

November 20, 2015 - KAWARTHA LAKES/HALIBURTON – Are you a not-for-profit organization that has experience in developing and delivering programs primarily focused on supporting children of low income families? You may be eligible to receive funding through the City’s Community Social Investment Fund.

Established in 2008, the CSIF is available to non-profit organizations to develop and deliver programs or services that address poverty-related issues in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton, with a primary focus on supporting children of low income families. The estimated total annual funding available under the CSIF is $173,000.

Previously funded programs include children’s recreation programs, summer day camps, children’s tutoring programs and food security initiatives.

Funding will be based on calendar year allocations starting in January 2016.  Applications must be submitted by Monday, December 7, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
