May 26, 2015 - Kawartha Lakes Council has approved an investment of more than $1.3 million to replace watermains and sanitary sewers from St. Patrick Street to Verulam Road in Lindsay.

The project will include the restoration and resurfacing of the impacted areas related to the work.

“This project includes the replacement of the existing 300 mm (12 inch) cast iron watermain with a 300 mm PVC (plastic) watermain on Colborne Street from Verulam Road to St. Patrick Street,” explained Bryan Robinson, Manager of Capital Projects. “The replacement of various sections of the sanitary sewer main is also a part of this project as they were identified as being in poor condition through our investigations.”

The approved project investment is pegged at $1.358 million.

Construction is expected to commence by the end of June with completion set for the end of October.
