Fire Chief invites the public to attend an information session about the Fire Station Location Study and implementation plan

March 29, 2016 - Fire Chief for City of Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service Mark Pankhurst invites all members of the public to attend an information meeting on Sunday April 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre.

“I invite the public to come out and learn more about why we made these recommendations to Council and how the decisions Council has approved will impact the service delivery model. We will present the entire consolidation plan and have maps and reports on hand,” comments Chief Pankhurst.

Council approved the station consolidations of Little Britain and Oakwood Fire Stations and the closure of Baddow Fire Station in November 2015. The consolidation is part of an overall effort to ensure that City resources, including buildings, equipment and staff, are deployed in the most cost effective way.

Residents will hear a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period. The Fenelon Falls Community Centre is located at 27 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls.
