Garbage pickup deferred for residents in flooded areas with closed roads

April 5, 2016 - The City of Kawartha Lakes is advising residents whose roads have been closed due to flooding that garbage pickup will be deferred until roads are open. Two bags of waste per missed collection week will be picked up when collection resumes.

Alternately, residents can take their garbage to the nearest landfill. Usual tipping fees will apply.

There have been three roads re-opened today:

Prospect Rd. from CKL 8 to Palestine Rd, Eldon
Fairburn Rd. from Cedar Tree to Bury’s Green Rd., Bobcaygeon
Martins Rd. from Cedar Tree to Bury’s Green Rd., Bobcaygeon
