Gwynne Dyer to appear in Kawartha Lakes Public Library’s Canada 150th Author Series

March 22, 2017 - The Kawartha Lakes Public Library is pleased to announce that noted author, historian and journalist Gwynne Dyer will appear as a speaker in the Library’s Canada 150 Author Series on Friday April 28 at 8pm at the Lindsay Academy Theatre.

“The Library is delighted to bring such a high calibre speaker as Gwynne Dyer to Kawartha Lakes in partnership with the Academy Theatre and the Friends of the Lindsay Branch Library”, said David Harvie, CEO and Chief Librarian. “He always provides a unique view on events that are engaging and thought provoking.”

The title of Mr. Dyer’s lecture will be “The Trump Era: Barking up the Wrong Tree”, in which he will examine the populist revolts in the United States, Great Britain and France and the factors behind their growth.

Admission will be free but seating will be limited. Mr. Dyer will answer questions from the audience after this lecture and will be signing books in the lobby.
