Housing Help undertakes regional housing survey

January 13, 2016 - KAWARTHA LAKES/HALIBURTON – The City of Kawartha Lakes Housing Help division is seeking the public’s input on the need for family housing in communities across Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.

“We want to understand the need in order to identify and prioritize where and what type of housing is needed if and when funding becomes available,” explained Housing Manager Hope Lee.

The public is asked to complete a short survey to collect some key information from families.

“As the division responsible for affordable housing and homelessness programs and services, we are always interested in gathering as much information as possible to assess the need for family housing,” Ms. Lee said. “The survey results will help better identify the housing type and geographic needs of families in our community.”

The survey is available on the City’s website:

If you are unable to access the online form, please contact your nearest Housing Help location for assistance.

The survey closes March 31, 2016.
