Hydro One delays planned outages in the City of Kawartha Lakes until May 1

April 12, 2016 - Hydro One has accommodated the City of Kawartha Lakes’ request to delay planned outages in the Burnt River area. The outages were originally scheduled for April 17 and have been rescheduled for May 1. Property owners along the Burnt River have been running sump pumps to keep homes and cottages dry. This delay will afford residents the convenience of uninterrupted power during this period of high water levels.

The outages will enable Hydro One to perform necessary maintenance to ensure all equipment is in good working order for the summer season. The City appreciates the cooperation from Hydro One and asks residents to plan ahead for the outages. Residents who require uninterrupted power over the outage period are urged to make arrangements now for a generator.

Planned outage will occur on Sunday May 1 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the following:
All 4 Mile Lake, Burnt River, Pinery Road area
West of Coboconk Cty Rd 48
North of Coboconk Hwy 35
North on Baseline Road
Cedar Tree Road area
Bury Green Road area:
Around the corner of Cty Road 121 & Northline, Northline Road

Customers within the affected areas will have received a phone call from Hydro One.

Residents with questions or concerns are requested to contact Hydro One Customer Communications Centre at 1-888-664-9376.
