Kawartha Lakes Approved for Downtown Revitalizations

February 3, 2015 - As a part of the Rural Economic Development funding awarded in 2014, the City of Kawartha Lakes in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) have recognized Coboconk, Norland, Fenelon Falls, Lindsay and Omemee as viable communities for Downtown Revitalization projects.

The right combination of social use, public space and commercial activity assist in creating vibrant and healthy downtowns. The project recognizes that downtown cores are the historical pulse of a community. A place where residents and visitors go to celebrate, socialize and live life.

In keeping with this celebration and in recognition of the community-driven initiative, residents are invited to attend the public launch and meet their community ambassadors on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre, 27 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls.
