May 10, 2017 - The City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture division is currently seeking responsible, energetic and reliable volunteers to assist at the 39th Annual Lindsay Milk Run. This 5km/10km event takes place on Sunday July 16, 2017 and starts and finishes at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.

New this year is the addition of the KL21K Half Marathon presented in partnership with Jamie Schmale Member of Parliament Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. The Half Marathon will begin in Cameron, travel along the Victoria Rail Trail connecting up with the Lindsay Milk Run 10k route in Lindsay and finishing at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.

Volunteers are required from approximately 6am - 11:30am to assist with a variety of duties including course marshalling, registration, water stations, food distribution, set up and tear down.

This is an opportunity for community members of all ages to get involved in a fun-filled community tradition. This is an opportunity for students to gain valuable community service hours.

All volunteers will receive a certificate acknowledging their volunteer hour contributions, a Milk Run T-Shirt, refreshments, ice cream and a chance to be part of this successful community event.
