Kawartha Lakes investing $1.1 million in Bobcaygeon road rehabilitation

February 9, 2016 - BOBCAYGEON – Kawartha Lakes Council has approved investing nearly $1.1 million to reconstruct Helen and Prince Streets in Bobcaygeon.

The project, which will include constructing storm sewers, roads, curbs and sidewalks, is expected to begin in March and be completed by the end of June.

“Staff and Council have recognized that this is a much-needed project to improve infrastructure within Bobcaygeon,” explained Corby Purdy, Supervisor, Infrastructure Design and Construction. “This project continues on the extensive work that has taken place in that community over the last few years.”

Motorists will be able to navigate the area using Main Street and Duke Street while the four-month project is completed.

“The community, our residents and visitors will certainly notice the improvements and this infrastructure investment will greatly improve the Helen and Prince Street area,” Mr. Purdy added.
