Kawartha Lakes staff present $22,591 to United Way
Each year the City takes part in fundraising efforts to help support the United Way through a dedicated committee that organizes a series of events and activities for City staff.
City staff payroll deductions provide the bulk of donations to the local United Way with a number of fundraising events, including the popular 100 Mile Dinner, Silent Auction, Raptors Raffle, Pampered Chef and Dress Down Days contributing to the overall success of the fundraising program.
On hand Tuesday for the presentation were City United Way committee members Jan Morrison, Kelly Maloney, Marielle van Engelen, Carolyn Daynes and committee Chair Laurie Lawder. Absent from the presentation was City committee member Ann Rooth. Also on hand Tuesday was Kawartha Lakes United Way representatives Sheryl Wallis and Sue McDermid.
