March Break @ Your Library

March 9, 2016 - Kawartha Lakes Public Library has many events planned for children during the March Break. Brochures outlining events are available at all Library Branches or check the Calendar of Events on the Library website at www.kawarthalakeslibrary.ca. For further information contact your local library or Library Administration (705 324-9411 ext. 1291). To register for a program please call the Library that is hosting the particular program of interest.

Highlights of the week include the following.

Enjoy fun-filled comedy and magic for the whole family with local magician Bobolini.  The Great Bobolini will appear at the Lindsay Library on Monday, March 14 at 2 p.m. and at the Bethany Library on Tuesday, March 15 at 2 p.m. 

Learn hand drumming techniques with Rhythmic by Nature at the Family Djembe Drumming sessions on Thursday, March 17. These sessions take place at the Kinmount Library at 11 a.m., the Fenelon Falls Library at 1 p.m., and the Lindsay Library at 3 p.m. Space is limited so be sure to call to reserve your spot.

The Woolley Wonderland Farm Critter Visit will be coming with their little farm animals for children to enjoy. On Tuesday, March 15 they will be at the Oakwood Library at 11:30 a.m. and at the Dunsford Library at 2:30 p.m. On Wednesday, March 16 they will appear at the Dalton Library at 3 p.m.

Don’t miss Checkers the Clown and her family fun show, featuring singing, magic and storytelling. Bring your imagination, laughter and singing voice. On Monday, March 14  Checkers will appear at the Coboconk Library at 11 a.m. and the Woodville Library at 2:30 p.m. On Wednesday, March 16 Checkers will visit the Bobcaygeon Library at 11:30 a.m. and the Omemee Library at 3:30 p.m.

As well, themed programs, crafts activities, games and St. Patrick’s Day events will be featured at various libraries. There is something for everyone during the March Break.  Call your local library for information today.
