Motorists reminded to use caution on Big Bob Bridge

July 28, 2016 - The rehabilitation project to repair concrete and lay new asphalt on Big Bob Channel Bridge in Bobcaygeon continues, and as a result, traffic has been reduced to a single lane.

Temporary traffic lights have been erected, however, instances of motorists running the red light have been reported and are being monitored by the OPP.

During the project, motorists are encouraged to use Main Street as an alternate.

The project will wrap up in November, leaving the bridge with an extended life expectancy, improved sidewalk for pedestrian traffic, and an improved road surface for vehicles.
