Phase one water restrictions have been implemented in Bobcaygeon

May 20, 2016 - KAWARTHA LAKES – Due to the ongoing preventative maintenance at the Bobcaygeon Water Treatment Plant, parts of the system have been shut down.

This work will not affect the water quality being delivered to the residents and the water will continue to be safe to drink.

In order to meet necessary demand, the City requires that the following restrictions are adhered to in accordance with by-law 2002-105.

Restrictions effective immediately in the Bobcaygeon area:

  • Residents with odd-numbered municipal addresses can water their lawns, flower beds, gardens, trees and shrubs on odd numbered days only
  • Residents with even-numbered municipal addresses can water their lawns, flower beds, gardens, trees and shrubs on even numbered days only
  • Watering can only take place between 6 am - 9 am or 7 pm - 10 pm 
  • No filling or topping up of swimming pools

Restrictions are in effect for the next two weeks or until further notice. For further information contact City of Kawartha Lakes at 705-324-9411.
