Plan to attend the TD Summer Reading Club at Kawartha Lakes Public Libraries

June 9, 2016 - TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators and stories while inspiring children to develop a lifelong love of reading.

Kawartha Lakes Public Library branches are all taking part in this national program and children are invited to join at their local branch library and take part in all the special events and activities planned specially for them.

New for this year, “Get Your Summer Read On” is the official registration “kick off” day for the TD Summer Reading Club across Canada.  Visit your local library on Saturday, June 25 and register for the TD Summer Reading Club for a chance to win prizes! You will receive your summer reading kit and information about library events taking place throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Be amazed by the magic of The Great Bobolini, meet baby farm animals from Woolley Wonderland Farm, learn drumming rhythms with Rhythmic by Nature, laugh along with Tim the Puppet Tamer, enjoy stories and puppetry with Jess, sing along with Magoo, learn more about reptiles from Reptiles at Risk, enjoy crafts, games, stories and much more.

Visit the library’s website at and view the Calendar of Events for more information.
