Public meeting being held on proposed Elgin Street reconstruction

April 17, 2015 - Members of the public are invited to attend a meeting on the City’s proposed Elgin Street reconstruction project.

The meeting is slated for Wednesday, April 22 in the Victoria Room at City Hall, 26 Francis Street in Lindsay.

The public is invited to drop in between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to view the details of the proposed work and ask questions of staff and engineers.

“This is a great opportunity for the public to come out and see what work is being proposed for Elgin Street and how it is going to impact them and ultimately benefit them,” explained Corby Purdy, Supervisor Infrastructure Design and Construction.

The proposed work includes renewing underground and surface infrastructure including watermain, sewers, roads, curbs and sidewalks.

“It is important for us to get feedback from the public and to solicit input when finalizing details of the work,” said Mr. Purdy. “We are very much looking forward to meeting with as many Elgin Street residents and members of the public as possible during the meeting.”
