Sponsored Skates at the Norland Community Centre
February 8, 2010 - The City of Kawartha Lakes, Parks, Recreation & Culture Division would like to send out a sincere thank you to Dr. Suzanne Harrison and her team at the Gull River Veterinary Services in Coboconk.
The Gull River Veterinary Services has graciously sponsored all public skates being held at the Norland Recreation Centre beginning Wednesday, February 10th until Sunday, February 28th. This will now allow all patrons to skate for free.
This is a fantastic way to support your community. “An opportunity like this enables neighbours to meet, interact and develop community spirit while enjoying and supporting their community,” says Alison McGahey, Community Development Coordinator. These FREE skates now provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy this fabulous Canadian winter sport.
The sponsored skates are Wednesdays from 7-9pm, Saturdays from 7-9pm and Sundays from 2-4pm.
