Youth Mentors are recognized with the Award of Excellence for the Kawartha Lakes Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre

April 27, 2015 - With gratitude for the support from program mentors, Diane Steven, Manager of the Kawartha Lakes Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre (KLSBEC), accepted the Youth Mentorship Award at the Evening of Excellence, hosted by the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce on Friday, April 24th.

“It’s an honour to be recognized for the efforts of the KLSBEC mentor team, who have helped to start and support over 100 new youth businesses in the past ten years,” said Diane Steven, Manager of Kawartha Lakes Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre. “The key element to our programs, beyond training and grant money, is the mentorship. Our young entrepreneurs are getting valuable expert advice from successful business people in our community.”

The KLSBEC congratulates the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce and the sponsors of the Evening of Excellence as well as volunteers, members and donors for the incredible efforts that went into creating the wonderful event. It was a fantastic evening of recognition for the business community of Kawartha Lakes.
