Impact of the release of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe on the City of Kawartha Lake's Secondary Plans:

Staff have scheduled a Special Meeting of Council for the purpose of receiving public comments to proposed amended Secondary Plans. This Special Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2017.  However, on May 18, 2017 the Province released a new 2017 Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Council decisions made on or after July 1, 2017 will need to conform to the new Plan.  Accordingly, Staff's plan to present Council with new Secondary Plans for consideration on August 23, 2017 can no longer occur as planned.  Instead, Staff propose to put the Lindsay Secondary Plan, the Bobcageon Secondary Plan and the General Amendment to Official Plan 2012 as they were endorsed by Council in 2015 before Council on June 27, 2017 for adoption.

The online versions of the zoning by-laws are provided for convenience purposes only as they may not reflect recently approved amendments. They should not be relied on when making decisions in connection with real estate transactions, development proposals or building permits. Always consult with the Planning Department before making a decision regarding any of the aforementioned situations
