Mock Car Crash, MADD
KAWARTHA LAKES CHAPTER — May 18, 2011

With the support and encouragement from many community partners, MADD Kawartha Lakes Chapter will be presenting a mock car crash reenactment at the Lindsay Fair Grounds May 18, 2011 during Police Week. The goal this year is to bring awareness to the tragic and criminal offences of impaired driving.
The scenario starts out as 3 youths are walking home from a party. One of the teenagers sees a car heading towards them and pushes the other two to safety. Unfortunately, one is not able to get out of the way of the oncoming car and is now with vital signs absent at the scene. The car then carries on and becomes involved in a secondary collision with the innocent other driver is trapped inside of the car.
Police, Fire, and EMS are called to the scene. Eventually a funeral services vehicle is summoned to the scene.
Westerby Entertainment has graciously agreed to participate, which will ensure authentic sounds and the ability to capture the pandemonium and confusion of each of the role players involved. At this time we would like to ask for your support in this year’s event to help make this a success.
