The City of Kawartha Lakes' Emergency Plan is the foundation for the City's emergency management program from which all emergency preparedness activities and initiatives flow. In the event of an emergency situation, the plan assigns responsibilities and guides the actions of key officials.

PLAN PURPOSE

• to make provision for the extraordinary measures that may have to be taken to protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents and visitors in the City of Kawartha Lakes
• to limit or prevent damage and destruction of property, infrastructure and the environment when faced with a major emergency situation that requires coordinated action beyond normal procedures.
