Waiting Lists
What are the requirements relating to waiting lists?
The Centralized Waiting List is a chronological list of all eligible applications for RGI assistance in the Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton area.
- Applications on the waiting list are ranked chronologically according to the date of application for RGI assistance
- Special Priority Status ranks number one on the wait list
- The ranking date of the special priority household is the date of application for special priority status
- To be included under Special Priority Category, you must complete a standard request
- Special Priority households are subject to the same eligibility rules as other applicants for RGI assistance
- Applicants for RGI assistance may indicate a preference size of unit or housing project
- Applicants are removed from the waiting list under the following conditions:
- applicant household becomes ineligible under an annual review of eligibility
- applicant household asks to be removed
- applicant household refuses three offers of RGI unit (except households consisting of two spouses or same-sex partners who may refuse a bachelor unit)
- applicant household accepts an offer of RGI unit
REMEMBER
- If a household does not meet the mandate of the housing project, this household is not put on the waiting list for that project
- Applicants for RGI assistance can refuse only 3 offers of RGI units (except households consisting of two spouses or same-sex partners who may refuse a bachelor unit)
- Your application is removed form the waiting list if you accept an offer of RGI assistance
