What's New
On October 27 2011 the Friends hosted “An Evening with Charles Foran”. He discussed his biography “Mordecai:The Life and Times” which won the three most prestigious awards literary awards in Canada this year including the Governor General’s award for best Literary Non-Fiction. His reading and talk delved into Mordecai Richler’s troubled childhood, his great literary genius, the irascible nature and Mordecai’s unwavering love for his wife and children. A lively discussion followed the presentation and the evening was a great success.

The Friends held their Annual General Meeting on November 23 2011. The membership voted to accept the new 2011 Constitution and By-laws. Since most members declined the opportunity to serve on the Executive this Constitution changes the infrastructure of the Council. Thus we have six officers now and the co-coordinators of our various activities will be appointed.
