Bobcaygeon Library -- Space Survey (Take the Survey now)

The City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library is undertaking a project to improve the interior of the Bobcaygeon Library by preparing a plan for the renovation of the existing space and expansion the building envelope. In 2010, the project includes development of a design and preparation of a complete set of construction plans. Currently there is no funding in hand for the construction phase of the project.  However, having an approved design and drawings will enable the Library to seek grants and other funding opportunities for implementation and completion.

The Library Board is aware of the importance and historic significance of the Bobcaygeon Library. Plans for the renovation/addition will take the historic character of the building into consideration and will be presented to Heritage Victoria, the City's historic conservation committee, and the Boyd Foundation. The Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Advisory Committee (KLAAC) will be consulted with respect to accessibility issues.

The Public will have an opportunity to participate in the process through this survey and a public meeting. The Library will provide details of meeting dates once they have been set. Information about the status of this project will be made available on this web page.
