2012 Summer Camp Programs
REGISTRATION STARTS MAY 1, 2012!! Registration is processed on a first come first served basis. To register please complete and return a 2012 Summer Camp Registration form (PDF). Registration will be confirmed upon receipt of completed form. Space is limited and we are not able to reserve space.
Little Explorers (4-6 years)
A camp experience for younger children. Active games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, skating, swimming, and community outings will introduce children to the summer camp experience. This camp does not participate in the weekly trip/special event. Late pick up is available for an additional fee.

Sports Camp (7-12 years)
Based at the Lindsay Recreation Complex Sports Camp participants will have the opportunity to get active with a variety of sports and games. Each day campers will participate in sport instruction, drills and scrimmages. Campers will join the daily fun swimJ from 2:00-4:00pm (except on trip days) and ice skate Tuesday and Thursday morning. Weekly bus trips/special events are planned on Wednesday. See the trip/special event schedule for all the details! Late pick up is available for additional fee.

Sugar & Spice Girls Camp (7-12 years)
Based at the Lindsay Recreation Complex campers will enjoy all the things that girls like to do. Arts, crafts, games and more. Special guests will introduce the girls to new activities. The girls will participate in the daily fun swimJ and have the option to ice skate on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and join in on the weekly Wednesday bus trip/special event. See trip/special event schedule for all the details! Late pick up is available for additional fee.

Sport & Swing (7-12 years)
In partnership with the Lindsay Golf & Country Club this program will provide golf instruction with a CPGA teaching professional. Campers will be transported to the LGCC practice facilities in the morning for a 90 minute golf lesson/practice. Friday campers will have the opportunity to try out their new skills on the golf course followed by a snack at the clubhouse. Drop off at LGCC on Friday at 7:30 am for 7:45 tee off time!! Golf instruction is rain or shine, please dress for the weather. When campers return from the golf course they will participate in sports and games and attend the daily afternoon fun swim. Golf equipment is available if required. Transportation and Friday snack included. This camp does not attend the weekly bus trip/special event. Late pick up is available for an additional fee.

Sport & Skate (8-10 years)
In addition to all the great Sports Camp activities this camp also includes 75 minutes of daily on-ice power skating and hockey skill instruction with experienced hockey coach John Johnson Jr. each morning. After they come off the ice campers will participate in sports and games and join the fun swim each afternoon. Full hockey equipment is required; this camp is designed for experienced hockey players only. This camp does not attend the weekly bus trip/special event. Late pick up is available for an additional fee.

Sport & Swim (7-12 years)
This day camp is for children who love the water and includes traditional sports camp activities as well as a 45 minute swimming lesson each morning with a certified Red Cross Instructor. Children will work on their Red Cross swim level and enjoy the camp fun and games. In addition to the morning swim lesson campers will also attend the afternoon fun swim. Please bring your previous swimming progress report at time of registration to ensure you are placed in the correct level (achieving a swim level is dependent on the child, two weeks of swim lessons will improve chances of successful completion of a level.) This camp does not attend the weekly bus trip/special event. Late pick up is available for an additional fee.

Sport & Smash (8-12 years)
In addition to all the great sports camp activities this camp also includes 90 minutes of daily tennis instruction. Tennis instruction will take place each morning from 8:30-10:00 am at Memorial Park tennis courts weather permitting. Children will be dropped of in the morning directly at the tennis court and picked up in the afternoon at the Lindsay Recreation Complex. Participants will attend the fun swim each afternoon. This camp does not attend the weekly bus trip/special event. Late pick up is available for an additional fee.

Please note regular camp activities may not take place on trip days. Lindsay camps will not swim on Trip Days (Wednesdays), and special instruction or activities will not take place.
Recreational skating may not be available every week dependent on ice availability.
Hockey Skills Clinic (10-14)
Shooting & Puckhandling
One week clinics designed for players 10-14 years of age. Experienced hockey players will have 75 minutes of on ice hockey instruction from seasoned hockey coach and former professional player John Johnson Jr.
Learn shooting technique, power and improve accuracy and strength. Puck protection drills and stick handling will also be a focus. Full hockey equipment required.
