Spring 2017 Registration Information

Connect to Rec Online Registration begins Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 9:00am

In Person Registration:

Begins Monday, March 6, 2017 at 8:30am at the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation & Culture Administration Office – 50 Wolfe Street, Lindsay.

Spring 2017 Recreation Programs

Drop In Badminton

Grab your racquet and drop in for some fun and exercise playing recreational badminton.  All levels of play are welcome in this relaxed environment. Pre-registration is not required. 6 courts will be set up on the main floor of the Victoria Park Armoury, Lindsay. Shuttles are provided. Participants should bring their own racquet and clean indoor court shoes.

Hiking in Kawartha Lakes

Pre-registration required.

Stay active, make some new friends and discover the many benefits of walking! Join us for a weekly hike exploring the trails offered by local conservation areas, forest tracts, and local communities.  Hiking distance will begin at approximately 5km and gradually lengthen to 6-8km. This is a rain or shine program, dress appropriately for the weather.

Spring session: April 4-June 20, 2017

Cost: $65.00

Senior Men’s Slo Pitch (ages 55+)

Location: Wilson Fields, Lindsay.

A Recreational softball league for men 55+ who wish to play slo pitch for fun and exercise in a friendly, non-competitive league. 

Registration held every Monday morning at Wilson Fields Diamond 2 Shelter starting Monday, May 15 at 9:30am. Games begin at 10:00am.

Fees include insurance with Slo Pitch Ontario and a team jersey.  Players are to provide their own glove and athletic shoes.

Spring/Summer Session: May 15-September 11, 2017

Line Dancing

Pre-registration required.

Location: Lindsay Recreation Complex – Community Room

Dancing in a line that offers easy to learn repetitive choreography leading to a great cardiovascular workout, increased alertness, rhythmic ability, mental acuity, balance and coordination.

Spring Session: April 3-May 15, 2017

Monday 1:00-2:00pm

Cost: $65.00

Ballroom Basics

Pre-registration required.

Through partner dancing you’ll learn the basic social dance patterns in dances such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, and the Cha-Cha to name a few. The classes include instruction, practice and socializing.

Location: Fenelon Falls Community Centre – Hall

Spring session: April 6-June 8, 2017
