Kawartha Lakes Library announces art contest winner

April 7, 2017 - Emma Graham, Grade 12 student at Haliburton Highlands Secondary School, was the 2017 winner of the Library Award as part of the Kawartha Art Gallery Secondary School Juried Show. Her piece "Down the Rabbit Hole" was inspired by her love of the story "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll and was part of an art project on altered books that was introduced by Emma's art teacher.

Author Peter Jennings to visit Kawartha Lakes Public Library

March 24, 2017 - Kawartha Lakes Public Library is pleased to welcome back author Peter Jennings as part of the Canada 150th Author Series. Peter will present his new book, Why Being Happy Matters: Discover How the Power of Joy with Energize Your Life on Wednesday, April 5 at the Lindsay branch.

Gwynne Dyer to appear in Kawartha Lakes Public Library’s Canada 150th Author Series

March 22, 2017 - The Kawartha Lakes Public Library is pleased to announce that noted author, historian and journalist Gwynne Dyer will appear as a speaker in the Library’s Canada 150 Author Series on Friday April 28 at 8pm at the Lindsay Academy Theatre.
