Ted Barris visits Kawartha Lakes for Canada 150th Author Series

May 4, 2017 - As part of the Canada 150th Author Series, Kawartha Lakes Public Library welcomes back award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster Ted Barris. Mr. Barris will present his book "Victory at Vimy: Canada comes of Age" on Wednesday, May 17 at 2pm in the Meeting Room of the Lindsay branch library. Based on first-hand accounts, Ted Barris paints a compelling and surprising human picture of what it was like to have stormed and taken Vimy Ridge.

Kawartha Lakes Public Library offers a Spring Gardening workshop

May 2, 2017 - Due to the success of the event last year, Kawartha Lakes Public Library, in partnership with the Lindsay & District Master Gardeners once again presents a spring gardening workshop to kick-off the gardening season. "An Introduction to Home Vegetable & Herb Gardening" will be held at the Lindsay Branch Library on Saturday, May 20 from 10:15am to 11:30am.
