School Education Programs

Are you a teacher, school administrator, parent or concerned citizen that believes in the importance of engaging elementary students in community and environmental stewardship? Through a dynamic, curriculum-linked, multi-media puppet presentation, and passport initiative, the Recycle Rangers: Planet Protector Program challenges students and their schools to become active agents of change using the 5 R’s: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

The Recycle Rangers: Planet Protector Program is a project of 4 neighbouring municipalities - the County of Peterborough, the City of Peterborough, Northumberland County, and the City of Kawartha Lakes – working together in a new and exciting way to help regional elementary schools reduce their waste by improving their recycling.

If you are interested in bringing this program to your school, please call GreenUP at 705-745-3228 ext. 205, email or visit the Recycle Rangers website at
